Trip to Oban

Oban is a coast village located at the west coast of Argyll and Bute with approximately 8140 inhabitants. It is famous for its distillery, scenery, attractions, sights, landscapes and seascapes. Latter of which is the reason why Oban is also called the Seafood Capital of Scotland. I can really recommend a trip to Oban since already the way to the city is worth it. Beside others you pass Loch Lomond and Loch Awe and can have some beautiful views.
I really love Oban and I hope you will too! Enjoy the pictures :)

West Highland Way

The West Highland Way is a 96 miles (154 km) route which starts at Milngavie passing through Mugdock Country Park, Loch Lomond, through Glen Falloch and Strathfillan, crossing Rannoch Moor, past Buachaille Etive Mor to the head of Glencoe, descending to  the Loch Leven before entering Lairigmor and Glen Nevis.

Typical Scottish Expressions

When you arrive in Scotland everything is new in the beginning. Even if you have extraordinary English skills you will probably get difficulties in understanding typical Scottish expressions. For me, sentences like "We can have a wee dram" - "Bring your pal" , "Can you give me a clothe, please?" have been a mystery for a really long time. In order to make at least a few words easier for you, you can find a short list of expressions in this text.
